Helldivers 2 is a cooperative third-person shooter released in 2024. Developed by Arrowhead Game Studios and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 5 and Windows. The story unfolds in the 22nd century, following the Helldivers—elite strike forces sent to combat various threats to humanity. Gameplay involves completing missions on procedurally generated levels, where players must fend off hordes of enemies. Players "travel" between planets on spaceships—fully functional hub locations. The operational base allows for customizing inventory and the ship, unlocking new equipment, weapons, armor, and ship capabilities, and purchasing cosmetics. The game features stratagems.
