Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds is an action/RPG game with a third-person perspective. Players take control of a hero who ventures into the "Forbidden Lands," a desolate area inhabited by monsters, to find a missing expedition group. The game world is divided into several biomes, each representing a large open area free for exploration, where quests can also be obtained. Players can prepare food, replenish supplies, and craft new equipment and weapons in the Hunter Village, which can be accessed directly from the open world. For faster travel across the terrain, the game features a mount named Seikret (The Seikret), which also allows the player to carry two different types of weapons while hunting monsters. However, armor can only be changed in the village. Monster Hunter Wilds brings back all 14 weapon types from the previous installment, along with new moves and abilities for the character. The game also introduces an updated version of the Slinger (The Slinger) with new functionality, allowing players to grab items from a distance and interact with the environment to create traps for monsters. The game features a focus mode that enables players to deliver precise strikes to specific parts of a monster's body. Wounds on a monster's body can be exploited to deal additional damage. Monsters can interact with each other: predators will hunt smaller animals, and some monsters will exhibit herd behavior to better protect themselves. Monster behavior will be influenced by weather and time of day—some will only appear under favorable conditions. The game supports a cooperative multiplayer mode for up to four players. In single-player mode, three hunters will be controlled by artificial intelligence.
