"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is an action/RPG computer game developed and published by the Polish studio CD Projekt RED. Initially released on May 19, 2015, for Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, the game was later ported to Nintendo Switch on October 15, 2019, and to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on December 14, 2022. It is the sequel to "The Witcher" (2007) and "The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings" (2011), and the third game set in the literary universe of the "Witcher" book series created by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. It is also the final installment chronicling the adventures of Geralt of Rivia. Set in a fantasy world based on Slavic mythology, the game follows Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter known as a witcher, whose adoptive daughter Ciri is in danger, pursued by the Wild Hunt—a mysterious otherworldly force whose secret is revealed throughout the game.
